Open in App
Solution

One of the parent with blood group A may have IAIA or IAi allele combination and other with blood group B may have IBIB or IBi allele combination.

allele IA and IB are dominant whereas allele i is recessive, cross between IAi and IBi results in following four progenies:

1. First with IAIB allele combination means AB blood group.

2. Second with IAi allele combination means A blood group.

3. Third with IBi allele combination means B blood group.

4. Fourth with ii blood group means O blood group.

So, parents with A and B blood group can produce a child with O blood group.
