Can F+ V - 2 = E be used as Euler 's formula ?

The EULER'S formula is given by,

F + V - E = 2

where, F = faces ; V = vertices ; E = edges

now applying transposition in the above equation, we get,

F + V - 2 = E

Both the equations remain same.
