can friction be reduced totally

Dear Student!

Friction is a result of interlocking of irregularities of two surfaces in contact. As per the current technology, very smooth surfaces have been obtained. But, the microscopic irregularities are almost impossible to remove because one cannot alter the shape of molecule and bonding in solids on his own will.

Again, nothing is impossible, and human may achieve zero friction, but till date it is not possible.
