Solution

In human somatic cell there are two types of DNA present together – chromosomal DNA inside nucleus and mitochondrial DNA in mitochondria. Moreover in reproductive cells there are X or Y chromosome DNA which are different from autosomal DNA. All these DNAs can stay and replicate independently within the single cell. Thus in Hershey and Chase model the DNA of a virus can replicated independently within the bacterial cell.
