Solution

The series given is 1009, 252, 1007, 503, ?
Now 252 is in the middle of 1009 and 1007
When we multiply numerator and denominator of 252 and add 1 in the denominator we get;
25×42×4+1 = 1009 which is on the left side of 252.
And when we multiply numerator term of 252 by 4 and denominator term by 3 and adding 1 in the denominator we get;
25×42×3+1 = 1007 which is on the right side of 252.
Similarly we take now 503 as the middle term of 1007 and the question mark.
Similarly as shown in the above process we get; 50×23×2+1 = 1007 which is on the left side of 503.
Then, for the right side of 503 we must continue the above process as 50×23×1+1 = 1004.
Therefore, there will be 1004 at the place of question mark.
