Question

conditions will change the gene frequency of a population as asserted by the Hardy Weinberg law

Open in App
Solution

The Heidy Weinberg law which states that allele frequencies in a population are stable and remain constant from generation to generation is applicable only under the following conditions:
1. No Natural selection pressure
2. No gene flow
3. No genetic drift
4. No mutation
5. No genetic recombination
The gene frequency of a population will change if even one of the required five conditions is not met.
