Question

Consider two Carnot heat engines operating in series. The first engine receives heat from thereservoir at 1800 K and rejects the waste heat to another reservoir at temperature T. The second enginereceives this energy rejected by the first one, converts some of it to work, and rejects the rest to areservoir at 300 K. Calculate the temperature TK for the following cases

1) When the outputs of 2 engines are equal

2) when the efficiencies of 2 engines are equal
