Cr3+ is most stable ion in aqueous solution. Why?
Cr3+ has electronic config. as [Ar] 3d3 i.e.has 3 unpaired electron.
According to CFT it has configuration as t2g3 and hence is extremely stable in aqueous solution.
Which one of the following ions is the most stable in aqueous solution? (Atomic number. Ti = 22, V = 23, Cr = 24, Mn = 25)
