An antigen or immunogen is a toxic substance or molecule that prompts the generation of antibodies and can evoke an immune response.

Antigen Antibody
An antigen is any substance, a foreign substance which stimulates the production of antibodies by the immune system An antibody is a protein which is produced by the immune system of the body when it detects any foreign substance.
The region of antigen that interacts with antibody is called epitopes. The region of antibody that binds to the epitope of an antigen is called paratope.
