  • The boiling point of a substance is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the liquid equals the environmental pressure surrounding the liquid.
  • water boils at 372 K
  • When more heat is supplied to a boiling water its temperature does not change . In this case the extra heat supplied to the water is used for phase transformation of water and known as Latent heat of vaporization.
