Liquid : A substance is said to be liquid, if it possesses a definite volume but no definite shape. They take up the shape of the vessel in which they are put. Molecules in the liquid state have kinetic energy but they cannot go very far away because of the larger forces of attraction amongst them. Forces of attraction between the molecules of liquid are in between than that of gases and solids (larger than gases and weaker than solids). For eg. -water, milk, alcohol, oil, etc
