Loudness:
It is a quantity of the sound.
It is also the physical perception of the intensity of sound.
It is affected by frequency also. It is because the human ear perceives sound intensities at different frequencies in a different way.
It makes a distinction between the volume of a note from being loud or quiet.
One of factor of loudness is the duration
It increases for the first 0.2 seconds and after that remains unchanged until the source discontinues.
It is measured in ‘sone’ and the loudness level is measured in ‘phon’.
