Democracy need to be folloed in every level. explain this statement with example?

Democracy is not only needed at the top level of government for managing the whole country at large but also at the levels such as Panchayati Raj for efficient working of villages. Even at this level democracy is needed to maintain harmony. Democracy is ensured in Panchayati Raj by :

• Elections for the post of sarpanch.
• regular meetings to resolve the issues of villagers.
• Involvement of M.L.A's in this tier of government.
• Abolishion of zila parishad for defective working under certain laws and acts.

Hence, democracy is required at every level of government.
