Dear Student,

Godavari is one of the largest Peninsular rivers in India. It originates at Trimbkeshwar, near Nashik in the state of Maharashtra. It runs for a distance of 1450 kilometres, being the second longest river in the country after Ganga that runs its course within the country. It empties into the Bay of Bengal near Narsapuram in the West Godavari distrcit of Andhra Pradesh.

Hope this answers your question.
