describe the process of germination of a dicot seed.
The process of germination of a dicot seed starts with absorbing water by the process of imbibition. After absorbing water the the seed coat breaks and the radical comes out first which fixes the seed in the soil. Next, the hypocotyl emerges out quickly and forms a loop which comes out of the soil and pulls out the rest of the seed. The seed coat is then cast off and cotyledons are exposed in the form of two leaves. Lastly, the plumule emerges out within the cotyledon which soon grows into the shoot.
