Describe the working of thermo electric power plant.
Some power stations work by using coal or petroleum as fuel to produce steam by heating water. The steam is then used for rotating a turbine, which drives a generator. Electric energy thus generated is known as thermal power, and such power stations are known as thermal power plants .
