Question

difference between latent heat of evapouration and vapourisation?

Open in App
Solution

Latent heat of vaporization is the heat energy required to change 1 Kg of a liquid to gas at atmospheric pressure at its boiling point. Latent heat of evaporation also denotes the heat required to change liquid into the vapour state, however the term latent heat of vaporisation is more appropriate and universally accepted. Therefore it is more often used.
