Question

difference between sister chromatid and homologus chromosomes?

Open in App
Solution

In a cell each chromosome replicate itself to form a identical chromosome known as sister chromatid. Sister chromatids are identical to each other having same genes with same alleles.

Homologous chromosomes form after the fusion of ovum and sperm, means these chromosomes are located only in the diploid cells. These chromosomes have same genes with different alleles.
