Differentiate between the pressure applied in solids and the pressure applied in liquids.

Solids exerts pressure due to its weight. In solid, the pressure is given as P =F/A i.e., the more the surface area, less is the pressure applied and vice versa.
While a liquid exerts pressure on the walls and the bottom of the container in which they are kept.
