No, Chlorophyll differs between organisms.

Chlorophyll is a green pigment found in cyanobacteria and the chloroplasts of algae and plants.

Types:

  • Chlorophyll a - Yellow - Green in colour - found in all plants, algae, and cyanobacteria which photosynthesize.
  • Chlorophyll b – Blue - Green in colour - found only in "green algae" and in the plants.
  • Chlorophyll c1 & c2– found only in the photosynthetic members of the Chromista as well as the dinoflagellates.
  • Chlorophyll d & f- found in cyanobacteria
