Do genetic combination of mothers play a significant role in gender determination of a new born

No, it does not play a role in determination of gender ,because the females have only two same X chromosome and males have X and Y so its the father whole plays a role in determination of the gender of the new born.

If the X chromosome from the mother meets the X chromosome from father then the child is Female and if the Y chromosome from the father meets the X chromosome of mother then the new born child will be Boy.
