Solution

In India, infanticide has been banned by the Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation And Prevention of Misuse) Act 1994. This law is applicable for people of all religious backgrounds. Thus the Government can intervene even if a religious group seeks to practice infanticide.
