Question

Does constant velocity mean zero acceleration?

Open in App
Solution

As we know that acceleration of an object in motion is defined as the ratio of change in velocity and the corresponding time taken by the object.
i.e, a = dv/dt
and as we know that derivative of a constant function is always zero.
So, the acceleration would be zero for a constant velocity.
