Does the sperm fuses with the ovum or the secondary oocyte?Because only after the entry of sperm secondary oocyte undergoes meiosis II and form ovum and 2nd polar body.

Sperm enters the secondary oocyte and membrane of sperm head fuses with the membrane of oocyte. After which secondary oocyte undergoes meiotic division and mature egg is formed. After that nucleus of sperm fuses with nucleus of egg or ovum and then zygote is formed.
