During the transformation of a tadpole into a frog the embryotic tissue like gills and tail are digested by the lysosome
and utilized by other cell why?
During the metamorphosis of a tadpole into a young frog the body structure changes and for this purpose these parts are digested by lysosomes. Gills are required for exchange of gases in water and tails are required for swimming and these functions are taken over by lungs, skin and webbed feet in young frog so it is more efficient to digest and utilize these structures.
