Electochemical cells are of two types- electrolytic cell and voltaic/ galvanic cell. Is this correct?
Yes this statement is true, electrochemical cells are of two types :-
a) Electrolytic - in which a non spontaneous reaction initiated by supplying electricity (i.e. electric energy is converted to chemical energy).
b) galvanic cell - in which energy from a spontaneous chemical reaction is used to produce electricity (i.e. chemical energy is converted to electric energy).
