Let the number of 2-rupee coins = xthen the number of 5-rupee coins = xTotal number of coins = 40Now the number of 1-rupee coins = 40 - 2xAmount with 2-rupee coins = Rs 2xAmount with 5-rupee coins = Rs 5xAmount with 1-rupee coins = Rs40-2xNow, 2x + 5x +40 - 2x = 1205x + 40 = 1205x = 80x = 16So, the number of 2-rupee coins = 16 number of 5-rupee coins = 16
