2]nuetrilisation reaction

Solution

1) Metals ( except Cu, Ag, Au) usually displace hydrogen gas from dilute acids.
Metals reacts with dilute acid like HCl to give metal chlorides and hydrogen gas.
For eg. -
2Na + 2HCl2NaCl + H2
2Al + 6HCl 2AlCl3 + 3H2
Metals reacts with dilute sulphuric acid to give metal sulphates and hydrogen gas.

Reaction of metal oxides with acids -
CuO + H2SO4 CuSO4 + H2O
ZnO + H2SO4 ZnSO4 + H2O
MgO + 2HNO3 Mg(NO3)2 + H2O

2) Neutralisation reaction - It is reaction in which acid and base reacts to form salt.
For eg. -
NaOH + HCl NaCl + H2O
2NaOH + H2CO3 Na2CO3 + H2O
2HCl + Ca(OH)2 CaCl2 + 2H2O
