Explain giving an activity that the liquids differ in their relative diffusion rates.

Open in App
Solution

1) Take two glasses filled with water.
2) Add a few drops of blue ink in one glass and few drops of honey in other glass.
It is observed that ink mixes fast in water and the colour of water changes to blue whereas honey mixes up very slow in water.
This shows that honey diffuses slow as compared to ink.

Thus, it can be concluded that liquids differ in their relative diffusion rates.
