It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of the whole body through 1degree Celsius or 1K.It depends on the mass of material.

SI unit = J/K

Specific heat capacity:

It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of unit mass of the substance through unit degree.It is independent of the mass of material.

SI unit = J/kg-k

Molar heat capacity:

The molar heat capacity is the energy required to raise one mole of any substance by one degree Celsius.
