Explain National Women Commission.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) is an organisation established for women in 1992 by the GOI (Government of India) as per the Indian Constitution. It was an extension of the National Commission for Women Act (1990).
Its main objectives are;
1. To represent the rights of women in India.
2. To provide voice for their issues and concerns.
3. The main issues are dowry, political and religious disparities, equality for women in jobs and to prevent women exploitation in labour work.
4. It also works against women abuse and domestic violence.
