Explain the charter issued by Queen Elizabeth1 to the East India Company?

In 1600,the ruler of England, Queen Elizabeth I issued a Charter according to which gave the East India Company sole power to expand trade relations with the East.This Charter provided the right to the Company to navigate through the oceans in search of new lands and buy cheap products from there and sell those at a higher price in Europe. The Company was free from the fear of competition from other English trading companies.
