Explain the difference between Anatomical evidence and morphological evidence with the help of some examples.

Open in App
Solution

Morphological evidence deals with looking at the body plans (outer) and drawing inferences about evolution. Anatomical evidence provides a deeper insight on the story of evolution as the internal structures are compared. Wings of bats and birds as wings are homologous but as forelimbs it is homologous.
