Burning of fossil fuels increases green house gases such as carbon-dioxide which causes global warming. Global warming increases the temperature on earth which is responsible for melting of glaciers which causes flood. Changing the atmospheric abundance or properties of these gases and particles can lead to a warming or cooling of the climate system.
