1) With the advent of technology, women were removed from factory jobs and were compelled to do household works in the early nineteenth century.
2) Eventually a large population of women became domestic servants.
3) Also, many women started earning income by way of tailoring, renting out rooms, matchbox making, washing, etc.
4) Women got employment again in factories and companies in the twentieth century during the First World War and they left their household services.
