explain the various steps of processing wool from the fleece of sheep.
Steps:
1. Shearing : Here hair from the body of a sheep is removed.
2. Scouring: The process of washing the fleece of sheep to remove dust, dirt, sweat and grease etc. is called scouring
3. Sorting: The process of separating the long fine quality fleece from the remaining inferior quality or broken pieces is called sorting.
4. Combing : Here burrs are removed from the fleece.
5. Dying: The natural fleece of sheep is black, brown or white in colour. The fibres obtained after combing is dyed in various colours. This is called dyeing
6. Spinning: The straightened fibres are spun or twisted together to make yarn. The wool yarn is then used to knit woollen fabrics, sweaters etc. This is called spinning​
