Biological waste can be recycled and used to enrich soil fertility by:
Anaerobic decomposition which produces biogas and manure
Vermicomposting where earthworms are used and valuable vermicompost is obtained.

Green manure is obtained by ploughing the leafy small plants or vegetative plant parts left over after the harvest back into the soil. It enriches the nitrogen content of the soil and does not require any special techniques for its production.
