Explain what plains are and mention its features.

Plains are large stretches of flat leveled land, generally, not more than 200 metres above mean sea level.

Features of plains are:

a. Plains are usually formed by rivers and their tributaries.
b. Some plains are extremely level.
c. Others may be slightly rolling and undulating.
d. Plains are suitable for human habitation, for construction of roads, houses, for agricultural activities.
