Question

factors responsible for speciation in detail

Open in App
Solution

Factors responsible for speciation are:-
1. Geographic isolation:- when species get isolated into two or more groups, it results in the speciation because each group will inherit or undergo different kinds of variation and hence each group will give rise to a new kind of species.
2. Reduction of gene flow:- When a population is spread out at a large range it reduces the chance of mating between different kind of individuals and hence results in the speciation as same kind of individuals are mating they will become a single kind of species.
