Solution

There are varying views with regards to whether Iran is a Democracy or not. Iran may be called as limited Democracy in terms that the President is elected, but it is the Supreme Leader of Iran who has excessive power and is elected for life by the Assembly of experts. Iran also faces the challenge of expansion, as it is theocratic state which establishes Islam as a state religion. The regime has been criticized for continuous violation of human rights of religious minority groups.
