Geographical isolation of individuals of same species leads to the separation of those individuals into two groups living in separate places so that they cannot mate with each other. As both the groups are living separately so they will evolve according to their environmental conditions (like if one group is living in cold region, they will have furry and thick coat over their body to keep their body warm and the one living in hot region will lack that and have other kind of characters). When their barrier is removed and they will mate again, it will lead to the production of hybrid and new species having characters of combination of both of them.
