Give 4 differences between subsistence farming and commercial farming.
Dear Student,
As is specified in your Geography textbook, intensive subsistence farming is a labour-intensive form of farming where irrigation and other biochemical tools are used so that the production rate is extremely high. This form of farming basically provides for the needs of the farmers. Subsistence crops are typically not used for commercial purposes. On the other hand, commercial farming is a modern input-intensive form of farming in which various modern biochemical tools, high yielding variety seeds etc. are used for increasing the rate of production. As the name suggests, these crops are used for large scale commercial purposes.
Hope this answers your question.
Best wishes!
