Open in App
Solution

Calcium oxide reacts with hydrochloric acid to form calcium chloride.

CaO + 2HCl --> CaCl2 + H2O

Calcium chloride will replace sodium carbonate to form calcium carbonate and sodium chloride:

CaCl2(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) --> CaCO3(s) + 2NaCl(aq)
