Solution

Dear student!

According to the rule of solubility "polar substance dissolve in polar substance and non-polar substance dissolves in non-polar substances."

Sugar is a polar compound and so it will dissolve in a polar solvent only. But the mustard oil is (or any oil) are non polar in nature. Thus the sugar does not dissolve in mustard oil.
