The heavy truck is fitted with 6 to 8 wheels to reduced the pressure exerted by truck on the ground.
pressure = force / area.
If truck is having only two wheels then area of contact of wheels with the road is less and pressure is more.To reduce the pressure we use 6 to 8 wheels for heavy trucks.
