4. Most of the water resources like rivers, lakes, wells etc are polluted by man by cleaning clothes in rivers, bathing of animals in rivers, etc
5. Industries nowadays are discharging wastes which are toxic and dangerous to mankind. This in turn makes water unfit for domestic purposes
6. Also underground water are most extensively used nowadays by digging deep borewells which in turn makes the ground water level deteriorates
7. These are the main reasons why India is facing water scarcity in the recent years.
