Cymose umbel: In this type of infloroscence the floweres arise from one point due to condensation of of the axis . Here the oldest flowers will be at the periphery and and young flowers towards the centre. Such as type of inflorescence is formed by grouping togehter numerous cymes so that the flowers of different age get mixed.In onion a number of small cymose inflorescences are aggregated in such a manner that they give the appearance of a umbel.
Cymose Corrymb: In this type the smaller cymose inflorescence clusters get arranged in such a manner that they give the appearance of a corrymb all of them reach the same level The older flowers have the longer and the younger flowers have the shorter pedicels. As a result of this flowers the corrymb inflorescence are found more or less at the same level of arrangement.
