Noise pollution occur because of the presence of excessive or unwanted sounds in the environment like, sounds of vehicles, machines , loudspeakers etc.
It can be control by installing silencing devices in air craft engines, industrial machines, transport vehicles and home appliances.
Noise producing industries should be set up away from the residential areas.
Use of automobile horns should be minimised.
Also growing more trees near the residential ares or along the road sides and around buildings to cut down on the sound to reduce the harmful effects.

Air pollution occurs because of the presence of unwanted gases and particles in air.The substances which contaminate the air are called air pollutants sources for this are factories, power plants, automobile exhausts and burning of firewood etc.
As automobiles are major cause for atmospheric pollution in metro cities therefore proper maintenance of automobiles along with use of lead free petrol or diesel can reduce the pollutants they emit.
