Algae is very nutritious, it contain high levels of minerals, vitamins, proteins and also trace elements especially Iodine, Calcium and Iron. They have high amount of fiber and low amount of fat. In china and japan algae is there staple food. Most common edible algae are Spirulina. Chlorella and Dunaliella.
