i) Areolar tissue is supportive in nature as it is responsible for keeping organs in their respective place and it also responsible for attachment of epithelial tissue with the tissues that are beneath it. It is packing material as it occupies the space between tissues.

ii) Ligaments are connective tissue that connects two bones.

iii) The important characteristics of the connective tissue are

It contains specialized cells that spread through extracellular fluid.

It contains extracellular protein fibers which give support to our body.

It contains ground substance which is composed of fluid part.

Both the proteins fibers and ground substance create matrix for connective tissue and it surrounds the specialized cells.
